Toulon

17 February 2015

Toulon France was another port that has seen better times. It was a major point of entry into southern France during World War II and the guide book said it had been trying to recover since then. That is a pretty good sign that there isn’t much to see–and the sign was really accurate. There was a walk through the old part of the city and then an authentic French meal and then back to the ship.

The meal was good and our meal was chosen by yet another fellow diner. The lady that helped us came from Italian parents and she helped us with the menu. French was the language of the day. That added to the authenticity of the experience.

I’ll add a few pictures when I get a chance.
