Yeah, not a great day to be in the hospital, just days from the cruise. A fractured bone, a cast, and friends still willing to care for Michael. Poor guy.

He could barely walk into the hospital.  He entered his school that afternoon as a returning warrior.

It seemed the girls were especially happy to see him.

Michael came through like a classic hero and spent the next 10 days with friends–great friends.

And then the excitement begins to build.

There are only a few days until the adventure begins and excited is an understatement. The cruise will be 10 days of pampering, excellent food, beautiful locations; the main ingredients humanity has craved since the beginning of time. Those ingredients, and a mate to share them with, that is.

The cruise comes with complimentary restaurants and buffets and room service. The cruise also has many, many specialty restaurants and our plan comes with those restaurants included in the cost. Which to choose and on which night was a fun discussion. One of the restaurants is Italian. Living in Italy, should we bypass it? Well, why not try everything! We are visiting France and one of the restaurants is French. Same question. We’re going to try all the restaurants. The menus looked just too good to pass up.
