Valentine’s Day. Guess which of us forgot today was Valentine’s Day?
You won’t get an answer from me. Now it is time to sit back and let Norwegian Cruise Line take me/us away.

We have a great room with a balcony.
We just finished tasting the first bit of food. It was as good as I remembered. I saw something I never could have imagined; an elderly Asian woman sitting at a table with her family eating a hamburger bun with chopsticks. Just the bun. No pictures because I didn’t want to invade her space. She was enjoying the experience. Why not eat what you want and do it any way you want. Good for her!
It wouldn’t be a cruise fit for a retired U.S. Air Force weather officer if the weather was not a bit peculiar. It snowed just before we went to eat. Mostly there was rain, but snow was falling in the midst of it too. It all passed quickly and now I am sitting on the balcony looking out over the Mediterranean Sea. The lifeboat drill starts soon and then we’ll be on our way.

The seat is empty. Feel free to imagine you were here.
While waiting for an elevator a large group of Japanese pushed the elevator button and the door opened immediately. It was strange enough that it had not opened before since the button had already been pressed, but then something really strange happened. The Japanese group politely rushed past us and we barely got in the elevator before it was completely filled. We were treated to the famous Tokyo subway experience–the one where attendants stand outside subway cars pushing riders in the doors before they close and the subway cars speed away. Everyone was very polite and it was a very funny experience, at least to the two non-Japanese Norwegian Cruisers.
The French restaurant was overwhelmingly awesome. The food was beautiful and the service was too. One of the servers was Elvis. How fun is that? Oh, and the French restaurant manager is from Turkey!
