There was a Wendy’s hamburger commercial back in the 80’s that featured a stocky Russian woman in beach wear catching a ball as she said “Vinter Vear” and then again catching a beach ball saying “Summer Vear.”  I guess Wendy’s was saying all other burgers were the same, but Wendy’s burgers were different.

There are only a few weeks in the summer and a few weeks in the winter that are unpleasant here in the Naples area; low 90’s and upper 30’s.  That is why wealthy Romans spent at least part of their year down here. Continue reading →
